Hybrid Craft: Sunny, Flowery Birthday Card

Sunny Birthday Card (Hybrid Craft)

Made this for a friend's birthday last week. It's a hybrid craft, because the stripe and floral paper (behind the "happy birthday") were digital papers which I printed and cut out and mounted on cut-and-scored card stock. I also added white card stock inside and printed a quote on it, and then added a traditional paper craft rubon over the quote (and also added a flower to the front). Overall I like the card, but something's a little off. I think I have a ways to go with card making -- I have issues cutting in a straight line. *LOL*

That's so neat! I like the quote, too. Hehehe! I can't cut a straight line for the life of me! *LOL*

It's beautiful! And why should lines be cut straight? I have at least 15 pairs of scissors that cut something other than a straight line!

Good Afternoon everyone!

Aw I totally love your card designs!I think you have a real talent, I really wish I could make my own greetings cards! I have attempted in the past to make my own cards, but failed terribly!I think I went a bit trigger happy on the old glitter glue! Anyways, until I get my act together and start making them again, I have found a great alternative solution for the time being! I have recently been sending my friends a Happy Birthday e-Card greeting when they are at work! They just said it was a really idea and that it brightens up their day. I have tried quite a lot of e-Card sites, and I have now found a really cool Free Happy Birthday Day e-Card site that I really like. This particular site has an awesome application where you can upload a photograph of yourself and incorporate it into your card. This is such a clever idea, and adds that personal touch, and as I already mentioned this particular site is totally free. I think e-Cards are definitely worth a try, they are not for everyone, but I am becoming a fan! Just wanted to share my findings with you all.Hope you find this useful! Have a good rest of your afternoon, Nicole.
